2013 was a great year. We worked more gigs this year than in any of the previous years we have been in business. Our DJ service was there for many weddings and a few parties this year too. We watched some great couples get married and we met some wonderful people over the course of the year. We also learned a few hard lessons about how not to book gigs and how not to work overtime at parties. Lets just say that those mistakes won’t happen again that’s for sure! We’ll just chalk it up to a fun learning experience..hehe…ahem..next subject!
There were also some “small” changes to our DJ setup this year too. Note the quotes around small because really they weren’t “small” at all. Not unless you consider a complete equipment overhaul a small change. At the start of the year we had a system that delivered 550 watts of power, that was also much heavier to transport. After the changes our system was putting out 2000 watts of power, had a 2000 watt subwoofer, a numark mixdeck quad dj controller, and new led lighting and gobo projector light to top it off. Some people reading this might not know what I’m talking about but all you need to know is that our sound has never been better, the lighting as never been brighter, and we have never been more able to deliver a great DJ experience as we have since making the changes we made this year. We look forward to serving you in 2014 and we plan to continue improving our systems in the future.
Some other things that happened in 2013. We joined up with Remus Photography for photo booth services. We created a Groupon and we advertised our service with the Radio Shopping Show. Both of these were eye opening opportunities that had some interesting results. We also put our service out on a few other online services which also helped us gain a few new customers there too. Overall I think we learned how to better promote our business and how not to promote it too.
